The IB Diploma programme is accepted for entry to all undergraduate courses at Imperial. Candidates will be required to obtain a specific overall score and specified scores in relevant higher level subjects. Entry requirements for each course can be found on our course pages and UCAS course profiles. Our minimum entry standards range from 38 points to 40 points overall, with grades 6 or 7 in specified subject. Offers issued to successful candidates may be higher than the minimum entry requirements.
All of courses that require mathematics as part of their entry requirements will accept both IB mathematics courses at higher level: Analysis and Approaches Applications and Interpretation Some courses will specify a preference for one of the above mathematics courses. The following English courses at standard or higher level may be used to fulfil the College English entry requirement: English B English A: Literature English A: Language and Literature The IB MYP English e-assessed may also be used to fulfil the College English entry requirement Please consult our English entry requirements page for grade requirements.
We welcome applications from high achieving DP candidates and this course of education is well regarded by Imperial. We appreciate the well-rounded education the DP provides and the competencies that these candidate bring to our community. Candidates presenting a minimum of three higher level DP courses may be considered for entry to all undergraduate courses at Imperial. Minimum grade requirements range from 6,6,6 to 7,7,6. Higher level DP courses may also be presented in combination with other accepted qualifications, providing a minimum equivalent of three A level breadth of study is presented. Accepted qualifications with subject and grade requirements are available in the entry requirement section of each course page listing on the College website.
