The University of Liverpool was established in 1881, and is a founding member of the Russell Group, the prestigious association of the UK's 24 leading research universities. The University is ranked in the top 150 universities worldwide, and top 20 in the UK in both the QS and Times Higher Education World Rankings 2026.
