The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is accepted for entry to all undergraduate courses (except our BSc (Hons) Business Top-Up) at The University of Law. If you’re studying the DP, applicants will be required to obtain a specific overall score (24-31points). Below is our DP entry requirements for our undergraduate courses: > MLaw & Accelerated (ABB) = 31 points > 3yr Law & Science (BBB) = 29 points > 3yr Business (BBC) = 27 points > For our combined 4 year Foundation Year courses, we accept 64 UCAS points from 1,2 or 3 IB Certificates. Please note our 3yr Computer Science programme holds subject specific requirements of a Higher Level subject with grade H5 in either Computing (IT), Science, Mathematics or Technology subject.
We accept Maths from IB Diploma Standard Level or Higher Level at grade 4 to meet our requirements. We also accept Maths from IB Middle Years at grade 4. Please note Maths is only required for specific courses, including Business, Psychology and Computer Science.
IB Diploma English Language A (Literature/Language) or English Language B at Standard or Higher Level may be used to meet English language proficiency requirements. We also accept Middle Years or Diploma years to meet our English language proficiency requirements. Please note, we do not accept Literature and Performance/Language Ab initio. We welcome applicants who have studied the IB DP courses in combination with other qualifications, and not as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme or International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme. Applicants offering DP combined with other level 3 qualifications (e.g. A-Levels) are considered and will be required to satisfy our UCAS point entry requirements. For example 2 DP courses and 1 A-Level, for our 3 year degrees. For our MLaw, Accelerated and 3yr programmes, we would normally expect the DP course to be at higher level. We advise applicants to contact the admissions team, who’ll clarify whether their specific portfolio of qualifications is acceptable for entry onto the chosen course. For our combined 4 year Foundation Year courses, we accept 64 UCAS points from 1,2 or 3 IB Certificates or combined with other level 3 qualifications.
Applicants with the IBCP will be considered for admission to a range of our courses. Typically, we will accept applicants presenting with IB HL subjects in combination with A-Level/ BTEC qualifications and other level 3 qualifications accepted by the University. For our 3 year degree courses, applicants will require a combination equivalent to 3 A-Levels.
We accept IB Middle Years Programme English and Maths at grade 4 to meet our GCSE requirements for our undergraduate programmes.
