Merrimack College recognizes the International Baccalaureate diploma and awards college credit for IB exams with scores meeting the minimum requirement. Standard & Higher Level (SL/HL) exams with scores of 4 and higher will be reviewed for credit. An official IB examination report is required for consideration.
Regardless of the level or type of math subject (AA/AI) students have studied, they have the freedom to apply to any undergraduate program of their choice.
Students with a first language other than English are required to demonstrate proof of English proficiency. The requirement can be waived for those students educated in a high school where English was the primary language of instruction for 4 consecutive academic years prior to enrolling at Merrimack, and achieved any of the following: 4 or higher on IB English A: Language & Literature, 4 or higher on IB English A: Literature, 5 or higher on IB English B HL, or 6 on IB English B SL.

All students that apply are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The College will consider applicants who are pursuing IB certificate and not the diploma.
