Founded in 1902, Bocconi was the first University in Italy to offer degrees in business and economics. Today Bocconi is widely recognized as one of the top European institutions of higher learning and research in the fields of management, economics, finance, data science and political science. In 2020 Bocconi ranked among the top 5 universities in Europe for QS and in the top 10 in the world for Financial Times (in its specific fields of study). Bocconi combines a strong theoretical background with real-world applications, aiming to attract talented students who will be the business leaders of the future. Bocconi is a medium size institution with almost 15.000 students currently enrolled. The undergraduate student body accounts for around 8.000 of them, with more than 40% of non-Italian students in degree courses taught in English. For students enrolled to a Bachelor of Science tuition and fees at Bocconi are set at approximately € 12.900 per year. There are plenty of funding opportunities, both merit-based and need-based. International candidates are indeed automatically evaluated for a merit-based scholarship, without the need of a separate application.
The IB DP is considered valid for enrollment without any translation and/or legalization.
Bocconi University does not set any specific requirement in terms of subjects or tracks taken by applicants during the secondary school. This applies to all secondary school diplomas, regardless of recent curriculum changes (i.e. IB DP - Mathematics: analysis and approaches or applications and interpretation SL/HL). However, given the field of study to which Bocconi belongs to, students should consider that, if admitted, taking quantitative-based courses/modules during secondary school (math, physics, business studies, economics, etc) might help them, in transition more smoothly from secondary school to our Bachelor programs content.
The full IB DP is valid as English requirement for enrollment.
Applicants with IB CP will be evaluated case by case.
