Please note that the IB Career-related programme (IBCP) does not meet the requirements for university studies in Sweden.

2. Check how to meet the specific requirements of Stockholm School of Economics in the list below:
- Minimum GPA: IB Score of 33 required no matter which country you have studied in. Admission is highly competitive so we usually recommend a predicted/final score of at least 37 or 38.
Range of score, admitted IB students 2023: 36-42
Median score, admitted IB students 2023: 38
Average score, admitted IB students 2023: 38
- English: English B SL (minimum grade 4). We accept TOEFL, IELTS etc. if you do not meet this requirement.
- Mathematics: Applications and interpretation SL (minimum grade 4).
The application requirement is:
Mathematics: Applications and interpretation SL (minimum grade 4).
With a high grade in this course, students generally do well in our programs. We also offer a preparatory math course before the start of the studies to get everyone up to speed.
If students have Mathematics: analysis and approaches SL, that is beneficial but not needed for courses within Data Analytics and the Economics specialization for example.
Mathematics: analysis and approaches HL is generally not needed to do well in our bachelor programs. It is also so that the total IB score is the most important thing when applying to us, so from a strategic point of view it might be better with a high grade in a less advanced math course than an average grade in the most advanced math course.
We only require English, and for English it is enough with:
- English: English B SL (minimum grade 4). We accept TOEFL, IELTS etc. if you do not meet this requirement.
At Stockholm School of Economics, we are constantly internationalizing our programs and no curriculum fits better into that than IB. With a natural global approach built-in to the IB curriculum combined with the international cohorts we often meet at IB schools, we feel that IB students are in general very well prepared for studies at our university.
Last year, approx. 40 % of all international students were IB students and so far, we also see that they perform at a high level in our programs.
