The Accra College of Medicine (“ACM”) is the leading private and independent Medical College set up to provide cutting-edge medical education in Ghana. We are located in Adjiriganor in Accra, Ghana. We offer the MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) degree program which is open to both local and international students across the globe. Students will need to complete the full IB diploma and may need to fulfill specific subject and level requirements. Applicants must have the IB Diploma (DP) Certificate and at least Grade 5 in High Level (HL) Chemistry and in any two (2) of the following HL and SL Subjects: Physics, Biology or Mathematics.
Students can apply with any math subject (AA/AI) at any level but must have a minimum score.
Students meet the language requirements when the full IB diploma is taught in language ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
We acknowledge the extensive knowledge students acquire when studying with the IB Curriculum. We believe that with the in-depth knowledge acquired during the two years of the IB Diploma Programme studies, students who choose the sciences and desire to pursue medicine have a little background and the tenacity the program requires. We have a number of IB students coming to ACM each year
IB students with two 7’s or more in their HL Chemistry plus any other HL and SL subject from these (Biology, Physics and Maths) are considered for level 200
The MYP certificate is required in addition to your IBDP certificate to study Medicine at the Accra College of Medicine. IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), applicants must have the MYP Certificate and at least Grade 4 in English, Extended Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and a language foreign to the applicant’s own.
