HAN University of Applied Sciences offers bachelor and master programs in Dutch and English. HAN is the 4th biggest University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands with over 37,000 students, located in two vibrant student cities, Arnhem and Nijmegen, in the east of the Netherlands. HAN offers bachelor and master programs in various fields, e.g.: economics and business, engineering & technology, behavior and social sciences and natural sciences.
Popular bachelor programs are International Business, Communication, International Social Work, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Students will need to complete the full IB diploma and may need to fulfill specific subject and level requirements depending on the program they are applying to. For any engineering program, Physics and Maths are required. For any Natural Science program, Chemistry and Maths are required.
Students can apply to all programs with any math subject (AA/AI) at any level. For engineering programs the HAN would advise math AI HL, and math AA SL/HL
If the IB DP programme has been followed in English, the requirement to prove language proficiency is waived.
We will consider DP courses on a case-by-case basis. Students should have a high school diploma or similar and the DP courses are part of their grades for that diploma.
